Summer 2003, I was in Venice with my father. I am absolutely fascinated by Venetian masks. (Hint, this motif can be found in one of my drawings. The answer will be given out next week.)
If I remember correctly, I was working on my sketchbook on the train. Do like the unfinished look of the drawing.

For the past week, Vancouver has been drenched in snow. My logo "art at snow" has been teased by many in friendly ways.
I was studio-bound for many days, yet on Boxing Day I ventured out into the woods with my camera. It was an enchanting experience. The afternoon reminded me of my trip to Whitehorse, Yukon, a few years ago. It was a cold and crisp afternoon, just like yesterday. I was on a horseback, traversing a stretch of land that was dusted with silvery powder. The only noise that remains in my mind is the horse's gentle touches with the icy path.
What did I come home with? A sense of tranquil happiness and images like these...
